Workview: Allow plugging a 'helper' device directly into another

Frequently you will have one logical device and then a variety of "enhancement" or "wrangling" devices associated with it. For example, you might want to normalize erosion masks, or frequently use a clamp to set the elevations of a generator to a certain range.

These accessory devices are necessary and important, but not logically distinct from their parent device, and they can clutter up the device workview and distract from the global flow.

This enhancement would let you "plug in" these accessory devices directly to a parent device. Once plugged in, the device shrinks in size and attaches to its parent. It moves with its parent but hides most of its independent attributes such as extra ports, name, etc.
You can unplug the device if you wish later on.
